Media darling of the 60′s and 70′s Jane Fonda has become best known for her usurping of all things American. Fonda in her younger years actively worked against the United States war effort in Vietnam. But its 2012 you say, what could she be doing now? Her new target appears to be the Constitution of the United States. In a CNN op-ed published yesterday, Fonda along with fellow bra-burners Gloria Steinem and Robin Morgan, took aim at the First Ammendment in the wake of the Limbaugh-Sandra Fluke controversy. Limbaugh doesn’t just call people names. He promotes language that deliberately dehumanizes his targets. Like the sophisticated propagandist Josef Goebbels, he creates rhetorical frames — and the bigger the lie the more effective — inciting listeners to view people they disagree with as sub-humans. His longtime favorite term for women, “femi-nazi,” doesn’t even raise eyebrows anymore, an example of how rhetoric spreads when unchallenged by coarsened cultural norms Of course, we are to believe that these women and their organization are not politically motivated (except for like, the deafening silence for similar speech directed from left to right) This isn’t political. While we disagree with Limbaugh’s politics, what’s at stake is the [...]

Under cover of night maybe…otherwise, we will now all be watching for this “covert” action. Britain is to send teams of spies and diplomats into Libya to help oust Colonel Gaddafi, it emerged last night. MI6 operatives backed by the SAS are to land in the east around the key rebel stronghold of Benghazi ‘within days’. In addition, 600 soldiers of the Black Watch are on 24-hour standby to fly in and avert a humanitarian catastrophe as Libya erupted into a new wave of bloodshed. British diplomats and spies have been engaged in intensive efforts to speak to opposition forces, which are led by Mustafa Abdel Jalil, head of the rebel National Libyan Council. Now ministers have approved a presence on the ground to gather information and boost the chances of the rebels. The liaison teams will be primarily composed of envoys but will include some intelligence officers. They will link up with Special Forces already in Libya to provide protection and give informal military advice to the Libyan opposition. Continue Reading

Hmmmm…..Governor of Texas and successful business-man. Must have selectively forgotten about our current community organizer in chief. Via Newsbusters: MAHER: It doesn’t matter what you’re saying. I mean, obviously, Charlie [Sheen] is saying crazy stuff. It’s the fact that he’s so confident in what he’s saying. Reminds me of George Bush. George Bush was like that. When George Bush ran for president he had the thinnest résumé anyone had ever seen. He was just the ne’er-do-well son of a, of a, you know, guy who had been president. And, but he acted like he owned the f–king world Via HotairPundit I give to you…. a quick look at the resume of George W Bush. Bush’s resume’ *Twice elected governor of Texas *Was managing general partner of the Texas Rangers for five years *Assisted in running his father’s re-election campaign in 1992 *Was a campaign advisor and media liaison for his father’s first presidential campaign in 1988 *Created Arbusto Energy company which later merged with Spectrum 7 eventually becoming Harken Energy which he served on the Board of Directors *Was a member of the Texas Air National Guard Graduated with a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard [...]
